This term for writing Totara 1 is working on persuasive writing. For this piece of writing we could either do animals should/not be kept in zoos or animals should/not be kept in circuses.
Why animals SHOULD be kept in zoos.
I strongly believe animals should be kept in zoos. Zoos are a great educational source, protect animals from getting endangered or extinct and give animals an enclosure close to their natural habitat.
Zoos are a great educational source teaching humans of every age. They often have a zookeeper explaining each of the animals. They also sometimes have billboards that have facts about the animals on them. As well as telling people facts zoos also inform humans about the dangers for these animals in the wild.
Zoos help the animals from getting endangered or extinct. Zoos help this by protecting them from hunters and poachers. They also have breeding programs designed for the animal. As well as this they make sure the animals live in a friendly environment with health checks. They have enclosures which are like their natural habitat.
Animals in zoos have a replica of their natural habitat. Most zoos are spectacular. And I mean this in the way that they have huge enclosures with lots of room for their animals. Zoos also help the animals where their natural habitats and foods have disappeared. An example of this is where zoos helped the koalas in the Australia bush fires.
Zoos are amazing for both animals and humans. Teaching humans about animals, helping the animals stay alive and giving them a close to natural habitat.
