Explaining how tides work

Do you know how tides work?
I am not sure either but with a
little bit of research I will be
able to tell you.

The moon's gravity pull makes
something called a tidal force.
This causes the earth and the
water closest to the moon to bulge
out. The side furthest from the
moon also bulges out and this
causes high and low tide. The high
and low tides are made from the
moon.

Because of the earth's rotation
on most coastlines around the
world there will be 2 high tides
and 2 low tides everyday.

The way the tides are formed is
by the rise and fall of the ocean
surface.

One of the things that are
affected by tides is fishing. The
best time to go fishing is in
between the tides. You can find
out what the tide is by going on
the internet.

Hopefully you have learnt about
tides and the next time you go
fishing check what time the best
time is.

Here is my study.

My Favourite movie and book review

This was another all about me activity. I quite enjoyed this.
Hopefully you will to.

Family Crest

For part of all about me we had to make a family crest.
Here is mine.

Family describtions

My family descriptions.
For one of the activities in all about me we had to do family descriptions here's mine.

Richard (BROTHER)
“Yes I will do my work in a minute” 3 HOURS LATER “Still got 30
seconds to go.” He ends up doing it in the end. I think he is a good
brother but make sure you don’t go near his room when he puts
his deodorant on.

Paul (DAD)
Bends over a lot don’t worry it is not an illness unless you count
being too tall. He is an amazing father, loves gardening so if he
doesn't answer the phone then remember that he is probably in the
garden wet or shine.

Daniela (MUM)

You have probably seen her if you have been swimming lately.
Works as a senior lifeguard and is a good swimmer. So don’t worry
if you are not so confident.

My Diamante Poem

Yesterday we did 2 different poems. We did Haiku and Diamante.
You may have already seen my haiku post which I have posted
yesterday. Since I did my Haiku on Spring I decided that this poem
should be summer and Winter. Hope you enjoy.

Haiku Poem

Today in T1 we did Haiku poems. With a haiku poem there must be 3
lines and the first and last line must have 5 syllables. The middle line
must have 7 syllables because there are so may I have had to put the
second line into 2 lines.
