Plot Summaries
Here is my plot summary of chapters 14 and 15.

Day 8 Chapter 14 and 15
New Characters Red overalled woman, Ruby
Plot Summary - The red truck came rushing down the
hill, Wendy and Patrick jumped out of the way just in time.
Out jumps the toughest woman Patrick had ever seen. They
got out a needle and started sewing up the holes. Ruby calls
to Wendy she is wearing what looks like Patrick's cardigan which
he lost and his rugby sock. After they have a long chat Patrick
looks at his hands Wendy he croaks. Wendy says time we go
back to the cafeteria. Wendy buys Patrick something to drink. Boopie comes in looking furious you two shouldn’t be together
don’t tell anyone you have met each other.Patrick come with
me you have got to hurry and get back to the other side of the barrier. When he gets back on the other side Estell finds him kneeling by a TV are you alright deer she says. Yes i’m fine I
just tripped he replied. At home he studies Eleanor's clue. Clair comes in and ask Patrick what's wrong he replies why do you
care. Clair and Patrick talk finally Patrick asks Claire about
the clue saying it is a riddle that is easy Clair replies and tells
him how to work it out. The answer was ring. He looked all week
not finding it when Estell came his beeper beeped like made.
He says he needs to go to the bathroom and quickly takes his
broach off. He looked on Estells finger and on it was the ring
it matched his description. He asked Estell where she got it
from. She said she found it on the road brought it to the police station nobody had lost it and they said she could have it and
now she protects it. Danny asks Patrick if he would like to see
his golf ball not now he replies. Estell says never mind little boy Patricks got something on his mind a little problem. Estell had
hit it right on the head.
I predict - Patrick will tell Estell that he knows someone
who has lost a ring like that and is missing it dearly.

Greymouths future is not in tourism
Do you think Greymouths future is in tourism? I don’t think so. Let's face it
Hanmer puts way more effort into their hot pools and makes a profit out of it.

Really there is nothing to do in greymouth other than a few walks, the Regent
or the Recreation center (REC). This doesn't make Greymouth popular because
everywhere else you go you can do those sort of things there too. The Recreation
center doesn’t even have a cafe. You would think that if there is a pool, basketball
courts, tennis courts and the hockey field that there is some where you can sit down
get a cup of tea or coffee and some baking.

center doesn’t even have a cafe. You would think that if there is a pool, basketball
courts, tennis courts and the hockey field that there is some where you can sit down

Greymouth is right now still building the hospital which is nearly a year overdue.
The other thing that they have just done is the REC which may have basketball
courts but they could of added cafes or whatever that would have made Greymouth
popular. How will Greymouth get Tourists if they can’t even finish buildings in time?

How will Greymouth become a tourist place with so many places around all ready
are like Hanmer Springs with their hot pools, Hokitika with the jade. Greymouth has
had so many years to take after them but has not.

If the adults don’t do anything the future generation won’t either, kids take after
their parents. We are like sheep. Have you ever found that sheep do what the other

Tourists normally speak different languages we have nothing and none here who can
help tourists with the language. Why come to a place if they can’t understand you?
Another thing is not many people have good experiences from Greymouth. I know
when there was a Greymouth swimming competition people were asking where can
we get a hot drink. The answer was nowhere.

From all of the reasons above there is nothing that makes me believe Greymouth’s
future is in tourism. Have you found that any of these things make Greymouth popular,
please prove me wrong I would love to see Greymouth full of tourism.
