Anzac

For Anzac day the year sixes in our class got in two groups and
made a slide about Anzac day on it. A really big must that we had
to add on our slide was Flanders fields we thought this was a place
but turned out to be a poem.

April fools day

April fools day

Characters Me, Dad, Mum, Richard, Ruby and Aoife.

It’s the 31st of March, Aoife is staying the night and we are planning out plans for tomorrow, April Fools Day. We have sorted out the pranks “SHHHH!” Don’t tell them.

“Yaa” April fools day is finally here. Time to set the pranks! We rush to get dressed, then go out the door “ARGH!” Cold water splatters down our backs. Oh no Richard has got to us first. Never mind we can still set our pranks before he gets up.

We have set all our fabulous, funny, fantastic pranks, now we must wait for them to take place. We run like the wind to my bedroom as we hear my parents get up we must remember to pretend that nothing unusual is happening.

We had breakfast, Aoife and I cleared the table but didn't wash the dishes because that was where our first prank lay….  We put the dishes across from the sink so that my dad would have to carry the dishes across to the sink.

Soon enough the cups were full of water and turned upside down. A few moments later we heard the surprised screech from my dad when he tried to carry the cups across. He made us clean it up but it was worth it.

After we had cleaned it up we invited Ruby over saying we want to hang out but really we want to play prank number 2. This one takes a bit longer to set up, but we have until 10:30 at the moment it is 10:00.

What we first did was find a bucket, that was easy enough next we had to fill up the bucket without my parents noticing. At 10:25 everyone except me and Aoife were outside so we put the bucket on top of the door and tied it to the door handle we went out side making sure no one would go through it until Ruby got here.

We were just in time she pulled up in the driveway just as we got outside the back door. Aoife pretended to go to the outside toilet and I pretended to tie up my shoelace so Ruby would go through the door first, She screams a terrible high pitched scream as she goes through the door.

Aoife comes back she gives Ruby a surprise Ruby whispers “you are a ghost” I expect it is because Ruby is so easy to scare and she was soaking wet. I let Ruby borrow some dry clothes then we set up a prank for Richard.

I already knew a good prank which is to put a picture of a cracked screen on Richards phone  
he would just look at it and think it was real. When I was doing this the phone looked at me
saying that’s not enough. Yes and I agree with the phone you must remember he has already
pranked us this morning. Like everyone in this family not including my dad Richard hates spiders….

I told Aoife and Ruby what my plan is, we did a lot of cutting and gluing at the end of this we had 3
big spiders on an invisible string and heaps of small ones which we could stick all round the room.
Richard had just gone over to a friends house so we could easily set the two pranks now it took
roughly 3 quarters of an hour but it was done.

I still hadn’t done a prank on my mum, I was out of pranks so we had to search up some. I also new
that we would need more because as soon as Richard got back then we would have to start prank
wars.

My Mum was at work and I new that once she got back she would write in her diary. So
over her favourite pencil tip I put clear nail polish also over her second and third favourite.
This will puzzel her then I would jump up behind her and say “april fools, you should of stayed
at the pools, or go to the mall”.

Sadly I needed to scrape of all the nail polish but I was expecting this so it only took  5
seconds on each, I am not telling you how I did it.

On no Richard is back we need to get under his bed and get the three strings just in time as
he goes in the door the bucket on top of the door changes. I ask Aoife  “did you refill it” “yes shhh”
she replies.

Richard gets such a fright as 3 big spiders crawl across his bedroom floor and there is a
million of other spiders everywhere else. Wait a moment he says as he picks a fake spider of the
wall at that moment we jump out from under the bed and said “april fools”

Prank wars then started, as I remember it now My favourite one I did on him was get 2
sponges cover them in nutella and put then on a plate that says I’m sorry. Later on Richard
looked on his phone sadly he was expecting it so he just went to tell me it didn’t work.
