Farm animals

This week we did anther information report.
This time I did it on 3 farm animals.

Farm animals

Many people around the world have farms.
On these farms they can have a lot of
different animals and crops.  There are many
animals I could inform you about but today I
have chosen to inform you about pigs, cows
and sheep.

Pigs - Pigs are one of the most intelligent
animals. Their main sense that they use is
smell. The snout is an important tool for finding
food and sensing the world around them. Pigs are
like humans when it comes to eating. They are
something called omnivores which means they eat
plants and other animals.

Cows - MOO! That may be the only sound you
think cows make, as I have recently learnt they
also make other sounds. Calves which are young
cows make this noise which is called bawling and
bulls which are boy cows bellow.

Sheep - Sheep are interesting animals which have
been brought up for their wool and for keeping
grass short. You may have heard some people instead
of saying sheep say something like yous. This is
actually spelt ewes and is a female sheep.

Hopefully you are now more informed about these 3
farm animals. Do you have any interesting facts about
any animal that you could tell me about?

  1. Kia ora Molly, I am pleased to read about animals we have around us but perhaps do not know lots about. I like the large, bold font used as it is easy to read. Did you know the people sometimes say yous meaning more than one person? This is incorrect as you refers to one of more people!
