This week for our maths work book we had 
eleven questions. Here are a few, can you 
work them out?

~ Simon’s granddad is 72 years old. His
grandma is ⅞ of his granddad’s age. How
old is Simon’s grandma?

~ A boxer weighs 96kg. His opponent
weighs ⅚ of this weight. How much
does his opponent weigh?

There are 24 students in Mr Briggs class.

~ Four students go home for lunch. What
fraction of the class goes home for lunch?
Express your answer in lowest terms.

~ Three students belong to the school choir.
What fraction of the class belongs to the
school choir? Express your answer in lowest
terms.
