  1. Kia ora Molly,

My name is Hazel and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) team. Allie told me that you've been working really hard on the SLJ programme, and have finished all of the activities - ka pai!

I can see that you've learned a lot about the environment and the world around us. I really hope that you've enjoyed being part of the Summer Learning Journey, and had a great summer holiday. I liked all of your ideas about how you and your family can help to reduce your impact upon the environment; it's so important that everyone plays their part.

Remember, you can earn bonus points by posting quality comments on the blogs of other people who are taking part. A quality comment should be at least three sentences long, and include a specific detail from that person's post.

Enjoy the rest of the break, and I look forward to reading some of your comments on the blogs of others soon.

    Hazel :)

  2. Kia ora Molly,

My name is Megan and like Allie, I am a Summer Learning Journey cluster manager working with students in Auckland within the Ako Hiko cluster.

First of all, congratulations on completing the Summer Learning Journey. What an incredible accomplishment that is to finish all 60 activities. We all know that it takes a lot of time and energy to read and answer so many. I hope you have still found time to energy the beautiful sunshine outside. Ka pai, Molly!

Second of all, what an incredible slide you have put together to end your journey. I absolutely loved your fire works at the beginning. I think you have identified a great first step that your family could take to help our environment. My family has attempted to stop using plastic bags. So when we go shopping, we take canvas shopping bags. I am proud of the efforts my family has been making but it is still not enough.

Once again, well done Molly. I hope you are proud of your achievement, I am sure Allie is very proud of you.

    Nga mihi,
    Megan :)

I hope that you have enjoyed taking part as we have enjoyed reading your blog over the summer.

Enjoy the remainder of the holiday and I look forward to seeing you when I return to Grey Main in February with certificates and prizes.

  5. Hi there Molly,

A big, big congratulations to you on making it to the end and completing all the activities, I hope you have had an amazing time and learnt many new things on this wonderful journey! I would like to thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge with us all!

You have concluded the Summer Learning Journey with a wonderful reflection and I am pleased to know that you have obtained lots of new knowledge. We all have a role on this planet and we can definitely play our part to make this place a little bit better each day. Avoiding the use of plastic as best as we can is an excellent start and a very good suggestion, well done!

May you enjoy the rest of your holidays and have a lovely year of school ahead!

I wish you all the very best,
    Evelyn :)
