Week 2 Day 1 Activity 3

Dear Jacinda Adern

I am writing to you for two reasons, the first reason is pollution we really need
to stop this matter world wide but it is easy to go one country at a time. The
second reason is a bike track right around the country.

Pollution is causing dirty water ways global warming and all that. We need to
stop it soon or else there will be no clean drinking water, places like Kiribati will
disappear under the sea and the countries that are left will probably soon come
over populated. We can not burn the rubbish because it will release dangerous
chemicals. How about chip packets and all the nonsense will stop getting made
so people can’t drop their plastic all over the street. To replace this start making
paper containers and so on. It may not be waterproof but it saves are planet. A way
to get rid of all that plastic we have already made we can get it out of the waterways
dumps clean them and make them into new containers or something like that. If the
containers break then they can go through that process again. It may have brand
names and stuff on it well who cares anyone who wants a plastic container can buy it.
Then we can start a new factory where all those people without jobs can work. This
way no more plastic will ever have to be made in our country.

A bike track right round the country would be so cool. Yes it may be expensive but it
would be good to get people off their devices and actually do something active. This
could be another matter for those who are unemployed could do something.

Thank you for taking your time to read this letter.
Yours sincerely

Molly

  1. Hi Molly its Jess again,

wow what a letter, I think Jacinda Adern would be convinced with this letter. the 2 things that you want to change in New Zealand are great. I would love a bike track around New Zealand it would be good if you travail somewhere in NZ so you can go on part of the track. I can see how much thought you have put in to this post especially when you said that they can use the factory for something else and everyone can get a job there.
    Keep it up
    Jess

  2. Hi Molly

Well done with your letter to Jacinda. I think that she would really sit up and take notice of what you have said.

I do think that a cycle trail around New Zealand is a fantastic idea. You just have to see how good it has been for us here on the West Coast.
It would be an awesome thing to promote to the rest of the world. Good for the environment too. Less cars on the road.
People could set up businesses along the trail too. It would benefit a lot of people.

Such an awesome idea. The benefits would out way the cost of building it.

Keep up the great work Molly

    Until next time

    Allie :)

    1. Hi Allie
Yes the West coast cycle trail from Ross to Grey Mouth benefits the coast. It is a long way if you do it in 2 days one way. There is a place about half way which you can stop and stay the night. I did the cycle trail when I was 7 but have't done it since. Have you done it or a piece of it?
