Which face is real?

 

For the SLJ on Friday we had to have a look on a site which shows one computer made person and one real person. You have to see if you can guess the real person although there are clues that might lead you in the right direction. I did pretty good when I was trying to work out which was which. I did a few more than 10 so I lost count of how many I got right. If you want to try press here for the link. Happy New year

For this activity we had to make a poster saying happy new year in 5 different languages. I technically did 6 because English is a language.

My whanau all know how to say happy new year in German.

For the step it up a did a video on me saying happy new year in 10 languages. I wasn't sure how many I had done and ended up doing 13. Hope you enjoy and learn something.

My Fruit art

 Today for the SLJ I did some fruit art. I was inspired by the artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo. I found these 3 facts about him.

1)  Arcimboldo took nature seriously.

2)  Despite the royal acclaim his fame faded.

3)  Today he is beloved around the world.

My art work is made up of all these different fruits and vegetables I have drawn. The neck is an eggplant, the mouth is a banana, the nose is a pear, the cheeks are apples, the eyes are strawberrys, the ears are cucumbers, the hair is a brown onion and all this is on a plate with a knife and fork on either side.

I then also did the step it up which was make an art wrk of fruit on a google draw and screen castify talkiing about it.

Maths - Camping site

I thought this was a fun activity being the first maths activity so far. I wasn't exactly sure what the last page was for and I am not sure if I have done it right.  Hopefully I have. I have also done the step it up.

Food photo collage

 

I am literally a week behind on activities. Very sorry just have been a bit busy.

For this activity we had to make a photo collage of foods that we eat in the summer. We had to talk about at least 3 of the foods that we chose.

I also did the step it up. I had to do the same just describe the food mentioning the senses.

UV indicator and protection

 

I am very sorry I am so late on this post. It is because when this activity was due it was my dads birthday and then yesterday I didn't get round to do the SLJ.  

For this activity I learnt a lot about UV lights and sun protection and sun cream. My favourite part of this activity was probably designing the indicator.

Its cool to be kind

 

I found this activity easy. I went onto the last comment that was posted on my blog which was on December the 20th. I then replied and that was a SLJ activity complete. For the step it up we had to fill out a form and put the link to the comment in. I also did that.

Compressive strength

 

Today for the experiment I had already done all the prep if you want to see what the the prep was click here. The circular ones ended up also holding my scissors, all the pencils and rubbers. It still hadn't collapsed but I didn't know what else to put on it so I stopped.  I was surprised when the flat ones couldn't even hold the roof, when nano girl did it it managed to hold the roof. I enjoyed this activity.
