Which face is real?

For the SLJ on Friday we had to have a look on a site which shows one computer made person and one real person. You have to see if you can guess the real person although there are clues that might lead you in the right direction. I did pretty good when I was trying to work out which was which. I did a few more than 10 so I lost count of how many I got right. If you want to try press here for the link. I also did the step it up where I had to show you one of the three ways to reverse image search.

Well done on completing both the kickstart and the step it up activities for the Which is Real task!

I really like that you’ve given such a detailed explanation of what you noticed and how you found the activity. Good spotting with the lady’s eye and ear! I tried this activity too, and my answers were wrong almost every single time, so I think it’s awesome that you did so well at picking out all of the clues!

Thank you for sharing such an awesome video teaching people how to reverse search an image! This is such a helpful tutorial and I had no idea there were so many ways to do it!
Did you already know how to reverse search, or did this activity teach you how to do it?

Keep up the great blog posts and well done again for being so active in the Summer Learning Journey!

    Mā te wā,

    1. Hey Elle

Yes some of the real and fake ones were really hard but there is always a clue if you look for it. I had no idea how to reverse search before this activity so I learnt some thing new.

      Thanks for your positive comment,

      Molly :)

    2. Kia ora Molly,

That is some good advice - next time I'll take a closer look and see if I can find some clues like you did!

It is impressive that you picked it up so quickly and were able to learn something new from the activity! Also, that you were able to teach others how to do it on the same day as figuring it out yourself! You must be a quick learner.

You are most welcome Molly; thank you for your awesome replies! :)

  3. Hi Molly

I was pleased to discover you had not only completed this activity, but also learnt something from the reverse image search tutorial. I had fun designing this activity and found that I got better at picking the genuine faces the more times I tried.

I find Google reverse image search useful when I am trying to find out what something is eg a plant or bird. I take a photo and get google to tell me what it is! Today my husband was trying to fix a tap and used reverse image search to find out what type of tap it was, then he found a youtube to tell him how to repair it once he knew what exactly he was looking for. It is very handy.

PS It is only by chance I came across this post as you do not have an Archives gadget on your blog sidebar displaying all your posts. I wonder if one of your teachers removed it?

    1. Hi Dorothy

      Thanks for your comment.

Are you a blog commenter for the SLJ? I just am not sure because I have never seen you in comments before.

I am not sure what a Archives gadget is but I don't think I have ever had one.

      Thanks,
      Molly
