Fiona here from the Summer Learning Journey team. What a nifty gadget you have described for campers! I think a compass that remembers which way you have been is a great idea to help people not get lost. This would have come in handy for me a few times when I've been out bush walking and forgotten which direction I've turned in!
How big do you think this compass would be and where would the batteries fit? Perhaps adding a solar powered charger to your compass would be a cool idea, so campers can use it even if the batteries go flat.

Thanks for your reply! The longest time I have been lost for is probably only about 1 hour. Good thinking making the compass light and easy to carry in your hand.
