For this activity we had to read this article and decide weather or not it was a true article. I did have a few reasons against it but ended up pick for it.
I am thoroughly impressed by the amount of thought and research you have put into the Fishy False Teeth: Part Two activity!
Those are lots of great reasons as to why this article may be real! One point you mentioned that resonated quite strongly with me, was where you said that there are 40 different species of Triggerfish, so it seems justified to think that one of these species may have evolved to have human-like teeth too! I absolutely agree with this.
When I was doing my own research, I found that there is a species called Titan Triggerfish that have rodent-looking teeth, like a rabbit or a rat. So if there are species that have teeth like other animals, it could be possible for a species of Triggerfish to have human-like teeth!
Was there a species of Triggerfish that stuck out to you? I thought the Clown Triggerfish are very funky looking with their big spots!
Keep up the fantastic work Molly! I really enjoyed reading what you found in your research!
Kia ora Molly, this is Elle from SLJ here.
